Robert, is a resident of the island. He says after 30 years
doing SSB, CW, and other modes he has decided to try something new and do some EME. He has a Yaesu FT897 to a dual band 2M/70cm antenna which he acquired from YU1CF, and some VHF/UHF amplifiers. He has two tripods for the antennas. The dual bander is on one of them now, 10 feet off the ground. He is looking to upgrade to better coax. YU1CF is helping by working up some other gear that will help. He is looking at add 23cm capability and buy a 70-element antenna.
